Data-driven teaching: Use it or Lose it!
Plenary EnglishAt a time when generative AI is disrupting the education landscape, everything seems to point to the importance of data – and more precisely – big data. Big data, we are told, will transform language education, promising untold benefits for learning. If this is true, how will it impact the role of the educator? In this presentation, we’ll look at ways in which big data is being used to transform language learning products and services. With one eye on the future, we’ll also examine the role of data in today’s classroom and the current implications for teachers. Whilst data and AI are unlikely to replace educators, those who ignore the insights from data risk being replaced by those who bake it into their teaching.

The Next Horizon: The Science of Learning, AI and the Future of Human Skills
Lecture EnglishA quarter into the 21st century, the skills once considered essential—critical thinking, collaboration, creativity, and communication—now feel somewhat rudimentary. The world has entered a new phase shaped not just by digital technology, but by artificial intelligence and accelerated complexity. In this shifting landscape, education must evolve beyond static frameworks toward learning in motion—adaptive, interdisciplinary, and deeply human. This webinar explores how the Science of Learning -still relevant, still growing -provides a roadmap for this evolution. Grounded in cognitive research, we examine how to design learning that promotes transfer, metacognition, and knowledge networks rather than surface-level performance. We shift from traditional skills lists toward emergent literacies including AI literacy, ethical reasoning, systems thinking, and global literacy—competencies that empower learners to act with agency in a world of uncertainty. Participants will leave with practical strategies and classroom tools to cultivate future-ready learners while preserving what makes education profoundly human.

Fundamentals of a Reflective Pedagogy for the Digital Era
Exposición EspañolThe approach of reflective pedagogy is essential in the digital era, where teaching practice requires critical analysis, ethical decision-making, and constant adaptation. This perspective examines how reflection strengthens the relationship between technology and education, enabling the confrontation of challenges such as artificial intelligence, the digital divide, and the culture of immediacy. It is argued that reflective pedagogy is an indispensable framework to promote conscious innovation, inclusion, and deep learning in contemporary educational environments.

Beyond the Classroom: Human Skills, Productive Competences, and AI-Driven Pedagogies
Lecture English"In today’s rapidly evolving landscape, teaching extends far beyond language instruction—it becomes a space for cultivating the human skills, productive competencies, and ethical AI awareness that define success in an interconnected world. This session invites educators to reimagine English teaching as a gateway to mastery of communication, creative problem-solving, collaborative leadership, and responsible digital citizenship. Based on Industry 5.0’s focus on people, participants will look at how classrooms can help develop resilience, sustainable thinking, and understanding of different cultures while using AI tools thoughtfully Educators will learn about methods that support the effective use of AI in teaching—like UNESCO competencies, Bloom’s Taxonomy, SAMR/TPACK models, and ABP/STEAM experiences— Through practical prompting patterns, ethics-first strategies, and tool demos, the session demonstrates how AI can serve as a co-teacher, helping students analyze, create, iterate, and communicate with confidence. Ultimately, teachers need to feel empowered to design learning experiences that transcend the classroom, equipping students with transferable power skills, global citizenship mindsets, and the adaptive capacities needed to thrive in collaborative, technology-rich futures."

Emerging Futures: Competency Frameworks, AI Synergy, and the Promise of Industry 5.0
Lecture EnglishIn a world shaped by intelligent technologies, teaching must evolve toward a model that empowers learners with the competencies, mindsets, and ethical foundations needed to thrive. This session invites educators to explore how global competency frameworks—such as UNESCO’s AI and digital literacy standards—can be intentionally aligned with classroom practice to cultivate creativity, critical thinking, collaboration, and most importantly, the responsible use of AI, making us feel accountable and responsible for our teaching practices. Through a human-centric lens inspired by Industry 5.0, participants discover practical strategies that blend cognitive, procedural, and attitudinal learning. These strategies include verification routines that build digital discernment, micro-rubrics that make iterative thinking visible, and modeling techniques that teach students to question, adapt, and evaluate AI outputs with integrity. Rich examples of classroom applications—such as research tasks, design challenges, ethical dilemmas, and community-based projects—illustrate how AI can enhance both student agency and teacher professionalism. The session ultimately invites educators to experiment with small, powerful shifts that create more inclusive, resilient, and future-ready learning experiences, positioning us as the integral architects of ethical and imaginative AI-supported education.

Teaching English – A fuel for embracing holism or as we go beyond language acquisition
LectureA classroom has always been a hub for education. An ideal classroom setting has been associated with a broader meaning of the word education. In a period where learning can take place anywhere thanks to the abundance of information supply, schools need to revitalize learning, levitating it to more than preparatory courses of applying core skills to everyday tasks. So that learning can contribute to personal development. Let’s discuss the key objectives of holism in ELT and how our lessons can be a gateway for our students understanding of the world they are going to live in and properly interact as adults.

Beyond the Classroom Walls: Transforming Language Learning with VR and AI Technologies
LectureThis talk explores how Virtual Reality (VR) and AI tools are reshaping language learning by extending it beyond traditional textbooks and classrooms. VR creates immersive, authentic settings where learners practice language in low-stakes scenarios—like ordering food or navigating transportation—while AI tools provide adaptive support and personalized feedback. Together, these technologies build confidence, strengthen practical communication skills, and boost motivation by making learning interactive and engaging. The core message is that VR and AI enrich language acquisition by offering contextual, “lived” experiences that traditional methods cannot easily provide.
