Learning Jobs Skills in English with the U.S. Embassy
TalkThe presentation "Learning Job Skills in English with the U.S. Embassy" addresses the critical gap between technical proficiency and professional communication in Mexico’s STEM sectors, specifically within the semiconductor and AI industries. Despite possessing high-level technical expertise, many Mexican graduates lack the linguistic and "durable" skills essential for success in the global marketplace—a deficit frequently highlighted by the private sector. To bridge this divide, the Regional English Language Office (RELO) of the U.S. Embassy provides comprehensive professional development opportunities for educators. This session highlights pedagogical shifts toward skills-based, project-based, and student-centered learning. Participants will be introduced to free, high-quality resources, including the Online Professional English Network (OPEN) and the extensive repository at AmericanEnglish.state.gov. Additionally, the presentation demonstrates how AI-powered tools can streamline lesson planning, empowering teachers to integrate 21st-century skills more effectively. By equipping educators with these tools, RELO aims to enhance the employability of STEM professionals through specialized English language training.

Action Research on Differentiated Writing Instruction Using Generative Artificial Intelligence
ResearchIn teaching Chinese as a second language, student proficiency variation poses a significant challenge to instructional effectiveness. Traditional homogeneous approaches often fail to address individual differences, resulting in compromised efficacy. This action research study, targeting a low-intermediate class, explores a generative AI-supported differentiated writing instruction pathway through iterative writing tasks. A three-cycle practice developed a refined framework: “AI-customized materials — tiered continuation writing — humanAI collaborative feedback.” Findings demonstrate its effectiveness in aligning instruction with diverse learner needs, enhancing writing proficiency, and offering an actionable plan for technologyenhanced differentiation.

From Test Practice to Real Communication: Reframing Exam Preparation
WorkshopExam test preparation is frequently characterised by repetition, individualisation, and an emphasis on memorisation, often at the expense of meaningful language use. Research in communicative language teaching and task-based learning highlights the importance of interaction, negotiation of meaning, and authentic communication in developing durable language competence. This session examines how questions from major international assessments can be reconceptualised as communicative tasks that remain aligned with exam demands while fostering deeper language development. Aimed at teachers preparing learners for exam certification, particularly those seeking to move beyond mechanical test practice, the session introduces a practical framework for transforming discrete test items into collaborative, communicative classroom activities. Drawing on principles from task-based language teaching and assessment literacy, participants will explore how exam preparation can simultaneously support fluency, accuracy, strategic competence, and learner engagement. Through applied classroom examples across multiple test formats, we explore how communicative approaches can enhance both language acquisition and test readiness. Participants will leave with adaptable strategies and task models suitable for diverse teaching contexts, reframing test preparation as a process that builds genuine communicative competence alongside measurable certification outcomes.

Vindicating Learning Channels and Multiple Intelligences
LectureThe prevalent belief that students possess distinct "learning styles" (e.g., visual, auditory), used by nearly 90% of educators, lacks scientific validation, according to a consensus in the academic community. Key researchers like Hal Pashler, Mark McDaniel, Doug Rohrer, and Robert Bjork criticize the existing literature for failing to employ rigorous, randomized research designs necessary to substantiate the "matching" hypothesis—that teaching tailored to a student's self-reported style improves outcomes. However, this debunking often defines "learning" too narrowly, typically focusing solely on memorization tasks. This narrow focus overlooks the broader context of cognitive experiences, the role of executive functions, and various taxonomic approaches to knowledge acquisition. Instead of entirely dismissing the idea of personalized learning, the discussion should shift toward exploring a more comprehensive perspective, such as Howard Gardner's theory of Multiple Intelligences. This framework suggests that intelligence is not a single, monolithic entity but a diverse set of distinct human abilities (e.g., spatial, linguistic, bodily-kinesthetic). Moving past the scientifically unsubstantiated learning styles model, future research should explore the correlation and effectiveness of specific, proven cognitive factors to find variables that yield better educational outcomes while still acknowledging the reality of diverse cognitive profiles.

Old School, New Rules: Reinventing ELT through Tradition and Technology
Keynote speakerAt a recent conference, I was asked a powerful question: How can we challenge teachers who still cling to traditional methods? That question became the inspiration for this session. In today’s evolving ELT landscape, the gap between traditional and modern teaching can feel overwhelming, but what if we didn’t have to choose between them? This talk explores how classic methodologies can be revived, not rejected, and strategically blended with modern approaches and technology to transform English classrooms from respectable to indispensable. Participants will revisit foundational methods such as the Direct Method, Audio-Lingual Method, Suggestopedia, the Natural Approach, and TPR, and discover how they align naturally with AI to create dynamic, purposeful lessons. Beyond methodology, this session emphasizes the power of rapport-building with today’s learners, students who think, communicate, and engage differently than previous generations. Through real classroom examples, participants will see how understanding this shift leads to stronger engagement and lasting impact. The session concludes with empowering teachers without abandoning tradition, thus proving that innovation works best when built on strong foundations.

What We Lose When We Only Measure What’s Easy
LectureIn an era of heightened accountability and data-driven decision-making, instructional quality is increasingly defined by what is easiest to measure rather than what is most educationally meaningful. This presentation examines instructional judgment as a core professional capacity—one that enables educators to interpret evidence, respond to learners in real time, and make principled decisions under conditions of uncertainty. Drawing on classroom experience, educational theory, and practitioner reflection, the session challenges the overreliance on narrow metrics and proposes a more expansive view of evidence that integrates quantitative data, qualitative indicators, and contextual knowledge. Participants will engage in structured reflection on their own decision-making practices and explore concrete strategies for sharpening instructional judgment while honoring the ethical and human dimensions of teaching. The session ultimately argues for educational systems that support professional thinking, not merely technical compliance.

Using Data Wisely: Insightful Teaching for Young Learners and Teenagers
WorkshopThe growth of digital and blended environments in English language teaching has increased the availability of learner data related to participation, progress, and interaction. However, many teachers perceive this data as abstract or disconnected from daily practice, relying instead on intuition for instructional decisions. Research in learning analytics indicates that, when interpreted through a pedagogical lens, data can support informed teaching decisions while complementing professional judgment rather than replacing it (Long & Siemens, 2011; Siemens & Baker, 2012; Selwyn, 2019). This workshop invites teachers to reconceptualize data as a meaningful and accessible source of insight. Participants will examine everyday data sources, such as learning management systems, formative assessments, classroom technologies, and observation, to analyze authentic classroom situations. Through guided reflection and practical examples, the workshop explores how data-informed insights can support planning, assessment, feedback, and learner support while preserving a human, ethical, and learner-centered approach to English language teaching.

The Belonging Factor: Driving Excellence in ELT through community
Commercial SessionIn the rapidly evolving landscape of English Language Teaching (ELT), professional success is increasingly defined not only by pedagogical mastery but by the strength of the networks surrounding the educator. This presentation explores the psychological imperative of "belongingness"—defined as a teacher's perception of social support and acceptance—as a fundamental driver of instructional excellence and career longevity. Drawing on the core themes of the XXVIII Feria Internacional de Idiomas (FIID) 2026 and the mission of MEXTESOL®, this session examines how academic communities provide the psychological safety necessary for innovation. We analyze how professional isolation contributes to burnout, whereas active participation in global and local chapters fosters a culture of continuous updating, particularly in the integration of Big Data and Artificial Intelligence in the classroom. The presentation provides a strategic roadmap for educators to transition from isolated practice to collaborative growth. Attendees will gain insights into the tangible benefits of organizational membership—such as access to indexed research journals and international conventions—and how these resources serve as a bridge between individual potential and global standards of excellence. Ultimately, we argue that while technology is a powerful tool, it is the sense of belonging within a professional collective that empowers the teacher to make a lasting difference.

From Data to Decisions: Building Data Literacy for Insightful Language Teaching
Workshop“Big Data” is often associated with complex dashboards, algorithms, and large-scale analytics. Yet for language teachers and academic leaders, its real value lies elsewhere: in the ability to interpret meaningful data, ask better questions, and make informed pedagogical and institutional decisions. This session reframes Big Data as data-informed practice, exploring how everyday data (learner performance, engagement patterns, assessment results, feedback, and institutional indicators) can become a powerful tool for reflective teaching and strategic leadership. The session highlights why data literacy matters today, how it benefits teachers in their daily practice, and how institutions can use data ethically and intelligently to support quality, equity, and sustainability. Participants are invited to see data not as abstract numbers, but as a lens for insight, professional judgment, and continuous improvement, and to embrace data literacy as an integral part of contemporary language teaching.

Insightful Assessment: Using Data to Support Learning, Not Just Measure It
LectureIn the age of big data, assessment is often reduced to scores, dashboards, and performance indicators. However, insightful assessment goes beyond measurement to actively support learning and growth. This session explores how English teachers can use data from formative assessment to inform instruction, provide meaningful feedback, and empower learners. Participants will examine practical sources of assessment data—such as classroom observations, student work, digital tools, and self-assessment—and consider how these can be interpreted to reveal learning progress rather than deficits. The workshop emphasizes feedback as a dialogue and highlights strategies for using data to promote reflection, motivation, and learner agency. Through real classroom scenarios and guided reflection, teachers will explore ways to balance quantitative data with qualitative insights to make assessment more responsive and human-centered. By reframing assessment as a tool for learning rather than judgment, this session supports teachers in creating assessment practices that are insightful, ethical, and aligned with long-term language development in the age of big data.

Building Speaking Confidence in Online EFL Classes Through Prosody-based Techniques
ResearchDeveloping oral fluency and speaking confidence remains a persistent challenge for lower-level English as a Foreign Language (EFL) learners, particularly in online learning environments. Many A1–A2 students experience hesitation, anxiety, and low self-confidence when speaking, which often limits oral production and communicative development. Drawing on Krashen’s Affective Filter Hypothesis (1982), this talk explores how lowering affective barriers through structured, low-stakes speaking opportunities can support oral development. The proposal presents a project in which high school students engaged in weekly recorded speaking tasks over a five-week period. These tasks were guided by prosody-based techniques, including shadowing, stress, intonation, chunking, and linking sounds and were accompanied by brief reflective activities that encouraged learner awareness and autonomy. Findings are discussed based on comparisons of students’ initial and final recordings, teacher observation, and learners’ self-perceived confidence. Results suggest improvements in fluency features, greater willingness to speak, and increased confidence when using English orally. By positioning confidence as a prerequisite rather than a consequence of oral development, this project highlights practical strategies for promoting meaningful speaking practice and reducing anxiety in virtual EFL classrooms.

Finally: an ELT approach designed exclusively for Spanish speakers
DemonstrationDiscover how context-specific course design dramatically increases efficiency in Latin American Spanish-speaking classrooms. By addressing learners throughout as knowers of Spanish, we unlock powerful advantages: faster progress, clearer language presentation, and more effective practice. This approach exploits cross-linguistic similarities to accelerate vocabulary learning, anticipates L1 interference, uses contrast strategically, and provides realistic, relevant models for speaking and pronunciation. The result? Less time wasted on explanation, more time for meaningful practice - and all without requiring students to speak Spanish in class! Examples will be drawn from Express English for Spanish Speakers, Majestic Publishing’s new three-level young adult course. This purpose-built series is packed with fresh ideas and practical activities that have the potential to make a real difference to ELT in Latin America.

An Action Research on "Handwriting for Learning, E-Writing for Use": E-Writing Instruction for Mexican Chinese Learners
ResearchThis study addresses the persistent challenge of “the difficulty of learning Chinese characters” in international Chinese education. It explores the pedagogical approach of “Handwriting for learning, e-writing for application” within Mexican classroom contexts. Employing an action research methodology, the study implemented tiered instruction integrating both handwriting and e-writing across three classes of varying proficiency levels. Systematic data on the teaching process were collected through digital tools. Grounded in Bachman’s model of communicative language ability, the research analyzes collected data—including input errors, collaborative records, test results, and interview transcripts—across four dimensions: organizational competence, pragmatic competence, strategic competence, and written fluency. This analytical framework aims to trace the developmental trajectory of students' comprehensive language proficiency and inform reflective teaching adjustments. The study seeks to develop a practical model for e-writing instruction in Chinese, tailored to the Mexican context. It aims to elucidate the specific pathways through which e-writing influences language competency development, thereby offering a practical reference for leveraging teaching-process data to facilitate precise and reflective pedagogical transformation in the era of big data.

From Data to Insight: Reimagining Language Teaching in the Age of Big Data and AI
KeynoteThe rapid growth of big data and artificial intelligence is transforming language education, offering new ways to understand and enhance how students learn. This presentation explores how data-informed approaches, through learning analytics, AI-driven tools, and evidence-based pedagogy, can reveal patterns in learner behavior that are often invisible to traditional teaching methods. Drawing on research insights and case studies, the session demonstrates how data can be used to improve student engagement, writing proficiency, and self-regulated learning. It introduces a practical framework for Data-Informed Language Teaching (DILT), guiding educators in collecting, interpreting, and acting on learner data to design targeted instructional interventions. At the same time, the presentation addresses key challenges, including data privacy, algorithmic bias, and the need to build educators’ capacity to effectively use these tools. It emphasizes that while data can significantly enhance teaching, it should not replace the human, relational aspects of language learning. Participants will gain practical strategies for integrating data and AI into their classrooms in ways that are ethical, learner-centered, and pedagogically meaningful, ensuring that innovation strengthens, not diminishes, the role of the teacher.

Automating Individualization: Using AI for Differentiated Instruction
DemonstrationDifferentiated instruction—tailoring teaching to individual student needs—remains an essential yet notoriously difficult ideal to realize consistently. The time required for planning, resource creation, and data analysis often makes true personalization impractical. This talk explores how artificial intelligence can automate the mechanics of individualization, freeing educators to focus on inspiration and guidance. Moving beyond theory, we will demonstrate practical AI tools that instantly generate leveled reading passages, create varied assessments, design targeted practice problems, and suggest intervention strategies. We will also examine how AI can analyze student performance data to identify learning gaps and help build dynamic, responsive learning environments. Crucially, automation does not imply abdication; the teacher’s role as curator, interpreter, and human connector remains central. Ethical considerations, potential pitfalls, and equitable implementation will be addressed throughout. Join us to learn how to leverage AI not as a replacement for teacher expertise, but as a powerful assistant—one that finally makes scalable, sustainable, and sophisticated differentiated instruction a practical reality in every classroom.

Systemic Functional Linguistics and Language Teaching
Keynote speakerSystemic Functional Linguistics (SFL) is an "appliable" theory designed to solve language-related problems, viewing learning as an inherently linguistic activity. As a meaning-based framework, it offers a comprehensive alternative to traditional models by emphasizing how language functions within social contexts. This paper explores three core SFL pillars and their specific implications for modern language education and communicative practice. First, SFL's multifunctional view identifies experiential, interpersonal, and textual meanings. Raising learner awareness of these simultaneous functions enables more comprehensive comprehension and effective communication. Second, SFL highlights the interdependence between language and context through the concepts of register and genre. Register analysis helps students understand situational language choices, while the "Sydney School" genre-based approach provides a structured pedagogy for achieving specific social purposes through staged discourse. Finally, the theory recognizes the probabilistic nature of grammar. Since fluency involves mastering the quantitative patterns of a language, learners require vast exposure to diverse registers. These insights are fundamental for curriculum design, ensuring that instructional materials provide the broad linguistic input necessary for students to internalize the probabilistic profile of their target language.

Nurturing Big Potential in Small Learners
WorkshopNurturing Big Potential in Small Learners highlights the transformative role of early English language education in shaping young learners’ cognitive, linguistic, and socio-emotional development. Informed by research in early childhood education and second language acquisition, this presentation positions the early years as a critical window for building strong foundations for communication, learner confidence, and long-term academic growth. The session emphasizes intentional, developmentally appropriate pedagogy that integrates play, inquiry, meaningful interaction, and wellbeing to support authentic language use. Through insights into curriculum design and classroom practice, it illustrates how thoughtfully designed learning experiences and materials can create inclusive environments where all children are supported to thrive. Rather than framing early English as accelerated instruction, the presentation presents it as purposeful nurturing, one that respects developmental stages while unlocking potential. Ultimately, the session advocates for early English programs that inspire curiosity, foster agency, and prepare young learners for a globally oriented learning landscape.

More engagement, more learning and classrooms that work better
PlenaryIn this very practical, nuts and bolts session, we shall ask two fundamental methodology questions: What makes an activity work well in class? and: How can we make sure more learning happens in our lessons? To answer these questions, we shall look at small strategies and adjustments to what we already do. The session will be purely about refining techniques - no apps or AI mentioned - and you will be able to implement the recommended tweaks whatever materials you are using. There will be examples and anecdotes from my own class. Suitable for new and more experienced teachers alike.

Big Data, Ally in Differentiated Instruction
LectureAs language teachers we need to be aware of how to deal with the new generation of students who have access to the vast amount of information in this age of big data, and take advantage of it. Differentiated instruction is to provide students flexibility when encountering information and class materials with the purpose of them to learn faster and more effectively. When we put together diffentiated instruction and big data we surely succeed.

Rethinking Assessment in ESL: From Measurement to Meaning-Making in a Multiple Literacies Era
DemonstrationSecond-language teachers are grappling with a growing tension between institutional demands for measurable outcomes and the need to equip students with the skills to navigate complex communicative realities beyond the classroom. This talk delves into how assessment can transcend traditional tests and become a meaningful, learning-centered practice that aligns with contemporary English usage. The session begins by outlining key principles of effective assessment, including diagnostic, validity, transparency, and positive washback. It then explores emerging trends in university ESL assessment, such as formative feedback cycles, task-based assessment, self- and peer-assessment, and performance-based tasks. A particular focus is placed on the concept of multiple literacies, emphasizing how assessment can incorporate digital texts, academic genres, multimodal communication, and intercultural meaning-making. We will conclude with concrete classroom examples that demonstrate how assessment tasks can simultaneously support language development, critical thinking, and learner autonomy. These examples illustrate how assessment can be rigorous and defensible within institutional frameworks while fostering a more future-ready learning experience.

Where Curiosity Becomes Scientific Thinking
Commercial SessionWhere Curiosity Becomes Scientific Thinking presents an inquiry-driven approach to science education that transforms students’ natural curiosity into deep conceptual understanding and disciplined reasoning. Anchored in phenomena-based learning, the session highlights how real-world contexts invite learners to ask meaningful questions, investigate patterns, and construct evidence-based explanations. As learning progresses, science is purposefully connected with technology, engineering, the arts, and mathematics, supporting creativity, problem-solving, and interdisciplinary thinking. Through curriculum design insights and classroom examples, the presentation illustrates how intentional scaffolding and formative assessment strengthen scientific literacy and transferable skills. By positioning curiosity as both an entry point and a sustained driver of learning, the session demonstrates how thoughtfully designed science programs empower learners to think like scientists and engage confidently with an increasingly complex world.

Reboot & Recharge: Life Beyond the Algorithm
WorkshopWe live in a world driven by Big Data, where algorithms are constantly fighting for our attention. The pressure to stay "plugged in" to every notification and digital update often leads to a life that feels like a never-ending data stream. And, when we spend all our energy feeding the machine, we stop paying attention to what really matters: our own wellbeing. It is time to look away from the screen and listen to your body. This workshop is about breaking the cycle of digital overstimulation and reclaiming your mental space. We are moving past the "self-care" trends you get on social media to focus on real, practical ways to find stillness. In this session, we will go through techniques to silence the noise that will help you stop reacting to the algorithm and start listening to your own needs. We will see how to reset ourselves through simple movements that lower stress and boost energy during a busy school day and we will practice how to stay focused on our class without feeling drained by digital demands. Join us to hit the "pause" button, breathe deeply, and prioritize your well-being over your data usage. Let’s transform your teaching practice by putting your health first.

From Automation to Innovation: Integrating AI into Language Teaching and Assessment
LectureArtificial intelligence (AI) has become a widely known tool in daily life and should also be a key component of innovation in education. Its application in teaching allows for the adaptation of content and pacing to the needs of the group, enables personalized learning by adapting to each student's needs, and facilitates the creation of dynamic exercises, simulations, and immersive environments that promote active and independent learning, among many other things. AI-based systems facilitate immediate feedback, automated assessment, and the generation of interactive resources, which can improve the efficiency of the educational process. However, as educators, what do we know about AI in terms of its use for designing activities? For developing assessments and evaluation rubrics? For increasing our productivity? And if we have already begun using AI in our classes, how are we monitoring our students' use of it? This conference aims to cover three different aspects of AI use in language classes: 1. Presenting alternatives for its implementation in the language classroom. 2. Offering practical examples of its use and the precautions we must take when using it, as well as how to guide our students to make it a useful tool in their own learning. Mandarin Chinese case study. 3. Reflecting on concepts such as academic integrity and academic inequality in the face of AI's arrival.

Welcoming Pedagogies: Virtual and In-Person Exchanges for Language, Culture and Identity Explorations
WorkshopJoin us to hear about a Mexican and US partnership, focused on community-engaged, language education. We share how through both virtual and in-person exchanges, we aim to create authentic, transformative experiences, develop critical consciousness, and build meaningful relationships. Our exchanges focus on languages, cultures and identities, with the goal of sustaining and expanding our linguistic and cultural resources, while deepening the way we understand ourselves and others. We engage our students in language-focused community programs in Yucatán (a Mayan after-school program for youth in a small community in Yucatán) and New Jersey (a conversation program for newcomers to English). In this workshop, we share our model and principles for these intercambios, and we highlight the ways that technology has provided us with powerful pedagogical tools to support our goals. We share how we have collaborated to create powerful outcomes, which include a Mayan, Spanish and English short story collection, two scripts and performances, and a short documentary. We will model our desire to create welcoming pedagogies, where meaningful interactions and relationships, developing community, and sharing the power of multilingualism are at the core. The workshop will include opportunities to engage and reflect en comunidad.

DACH-Antennen schon installiert?

Peer-Like AI Interactions: Enhancing EFL Writing through Poe-Based Chatbots
WorkshopThis hands-on workshop explores how Poe-based chatbots can be used as effective writing companions rather than shortcuts in EFL contexts. Drawing on a classroom-tested framework, the workshop introduces an AI chatbot–based approach that supports students across multiple stages of the writing process, including brainstorming, drafting, revising, and editing, through structured, peer-like AI interactions. The session demonstrates how such chatbots can reduce student hesitation, enhance fluency, and create low-stakes opportunities for idea generation and discussion while maintaining academic integrity. Participants will engage in a live demonstration, explore effective prompting strategies, and receive access to a customizable Poe-based chatbot template adaptable to diverse proficiency levels and instructional goals. The workshop also addresses potential pitfalls, such as over-reliance on AI-generated content, and offers strategies to foster critical thinking and responsible AI use. Attendees will leave with practical, research-informed approaches aligned with communicative language teaching to enhance student engagement in writing courses.

Teaching with Insight: Supporting Diverse Learners Through Cognitive Understanding
WorkshopInsightful teaching begins with understanding how children think, attend, remember, and learn—recognizing that these processes vary across learners. This session invites teachers of young learners (ages 6–12) to explore how knowledge of cognitive processes can support diverse classrooms through intentional and developmentally appropriate practice. Drawing on key aspects of cognitive processing, the session shows how insightful teaching informs instructional decisions that respond to differences in attention, memory, language development, and self-regulation. Participants will examine how making thinking visible helps students understand not only what they are learning, but how they are learning, fostering early metacognition and self-regulation. The session also addresses cognitive load, highlighting how task complexity, pacing, sequencing, and scaffolding can be adjusted to reduce barriers and promote equitable access to learning. Through classroom examples and guided reflection, insightful teaching is reframed as cognitively responsive and inclusive practice that leads to deeper learning and stronger engagement for all learners.

More than a Language Class: How English can Support your Goals, Interests, and Identity
TalkMany university students grapple with a valid question: Why should I study more English if I already speak it and also have plenty to worry about my major classes? This talk directly addresses this question by reframing English not as an isolated subject, but as a versatile tool that can support students’ goals across various disciplines and life paths. The session delves into how English contributes to the development of future-ready skills such as clear expression of ideas, cross-cultural collaboration, digital navigation, and critical thinking about information. Students will gain insights into how these skills align with their majors—whether in science, business, health, technology, the arts, or the social sciences—and how English can enhance their existing interests. By the end of the talk, students are encouraged to view English as an integral part of their personal toolkit—a resource they can adapt, personalize, and leverage to design their own academic and professional journeys.

More Than a Language: English as a Passport and Why We Issue It
TalkThis talk explores why English achieved global dominance and, more importantly, questions the true purpose of teaching it. Moving beyond grammar and vocabulary, it traces English’s rise through colonial history, American economic power, and the digital age to its status as a global lingua franca. Yet understanding this dominance is only half the inquiry. The core discussion interrogates pedagogy: Are we merely creating proficient speakers, or are we offering a bridge to cross-cultural connection, collaboration, and global conversation? It argues English education must serve as a beacon to opportunity, higher education, and economic mobility. Addressing educators and policymakers, the talk confronts challenges like linguistic imperialism and cultural homogenization, advocating for multilingualism. Ultimately, it redefines English not as a tool of dominance, but as a means of empowerment—equipping individuals to engage fully with an interconnected world in service of a more inclusive global community.
