Mario Herrera

Mario Herrera es Licenciado en Pedagogía y tiene una Maestría en Enseñanza del Inglés como Lengua Extranjera. Especializado en la enseñanza a niños y adolescentes, ha sido autor o coautor de varios programas de enseñanza del inglés de gran éxito a nivel mundial. Con 30 años de experiencia, dirige seminarios y talleres interactivos a nivel internacional.

Les activités de transfert, c'est un atelier conçu par par Céline Himber, repris et animé par América Armendáriz. Apprendre une langue étrangère, c’est acquérir des compétences qui permettent de communiquer et d’agir dans la vie. Une attention particulière est donc portée aux activités qui permettent aux apprenants de s’exprimer et d‘interagir, et les amènent à transférer ce qu’ils ont acquis. Dans cet atelier, nous apprendrons à repérer et à différencier les types d’activités de transfert . A partir d’exemples concrets tirés de la méthode Mon alter ego (Hachette FLE), nous verrons comment les animer en classe et comment les corriger.

América Armendáriz Ortega

América Armendáriz, est titulaire d’un Master 2 Français Langue Etrangère mention langues, éducation, francophonie, d’une licence en sciences du langage obtenus à l’Université François Rabelais de Tours, France. D’un DUFLE obtenu à l’Université de Bourgogne, France. Elle a formalisé ses études linguistiques par l’obtention d’un Diplôme Supérieur d’Etudes françaises (CUEFFE, UFRT) et d’un brevet d’études françaises obtenu à l’Institut de Touraine.

Regelmäßige Hospitationen sind ein wichtiges Element der kontinuierlichen Weiterbildung von Lehrkräften, das vielfältige Funktionen erfüllt: Gehen die Unterrichtshospitationen von der akademischen Leitung der Institution aus, geben sie Hinweise, welcher Fortbildungsbedarf eventuell im Kollegium besteht und ist gleichzeitig ein wichtiges Instrument der Qualitätssicherung. Für die einzelne Lehrkraft bietet sie zwar immer die Chance, den eigenen Unterricht aus einer anderen Perspektive zu sehen, und so Anregungen für neue Handlungsmöglichkeiten zu entdecken, ist aber häufig auch mit erheblichem Stress verbunden. Deswegen sind kollegiale Hospitationen eine sehr gute Alternative, von den Vorteilen zu profitieren, die eine Rückmeldung von Dritten bietet, ohne den Druck, den eine Hospitation von Seiten der Institutionsleitung u.U. darstellt, ausgesetzt zu sein. Auch die Tatsache, dass man sich in der Regel gegenseitig hospitiert, hat einen positiven Lerneffekt auf die eigene Unterrichtspraxis: Zum einen kann man sich überzeugende Unterrichtsmethoden “abgucken”, zum anderen kann man eigene Unterrichtspraxis kritisch hinterfragen, indem man Unterricht mal wieder aus der Perspektive der Lernenden erlebt. In diesem Workshop werden Methoden vorgestellt und reflektiert, wie man kollegiale Hospitationen gezielt einsetzen kann, um den eigenen Unterricht zu verbessern und sein Repertoire an konkreten Handlungsmöglichkeiten erweitern kann und zwar sowohl als hospitierende Person als auch als Lehrkraft, die beobachtet wird.

Moritz Drehsen

Moritz Drehsen studierte Germanistik und Romanistik in Freiburg und Valencia, Spanien. Nach verschiedenen beruflichen Stationen unter anderem am Theater und im sozialen Bereich, kam er 2009 zum Lehrerberuf: Ein Jahr unterrichtete er an einem Gymnasium in Niedersachsen, bevor er 2010 nach Guadalajara, Mexiko ging, um an verschiedenen Institutionen als DaF-Lehrer zu arbeiten. Derzeit arbeitet er als Koordinator und Deutschlehrer im Goethe-Zentrum Bezirk. Daneben tritt er auf Kongressen mit Workshops und Vorträgen, wie der FIID, den AMPAL-Tagungen und der IVG 2021, in Erscheinung.

Roger Espadas started his career as a language teacher in Europe in 2000 and ever since he has been searching for new ways to facilitate language acquisition to students. Roger holds a B. A. in English Language Teaching from Ceneval Mexico and he has taught at UNAM, The Anglo, and Tec de Monterrey. For the latter he was founder of CEDDIE, an institutional board that promoted ideas for improving teaching techniques and making those ideas come true. Roger has lectured on Pronunciation, eLearning and Gamification for a myriad of institutions in Mexico and Latin America. Roger is currently working at Empreser ELT as an International Academic Consultant and Regional Product Manager for MM Publications.

Franz Hoppenstedt

Franz Hoppenstedt is an Educational Consultant with over 25 years working in Education. He began his career as a teacher, later becoming a teacher coordinator, teacher trainer, conference speaker and educational consultant. He has trained teachers in public, private and language schools across the Latin American region, and for the last 15 years, he has been helping educational institutions in countries such as Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador, Costa Rica, Panama, Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Argentina, Colombia, and Peru. He has participated as a speaker in both National and International conferences in Latin America such as MEXTESOL, BBELT, FIID, TESOL, the “Congreso de Educación a la Vanguardia” for MEDUCA in Panama, a National Educational Congress in Costa Rica, and a Training Tour for teachers across Peru. He is convinced that the most effective way to change the world is through education, so he has dedicated his life to change one teacher at a time, so they have the right skills and mindsets to help their students.

In this session, we will explore how understanding different teaching roles through the Enneagram framework for education can enhance support for neurodivergent students in ELT. Nicolás Dantaz Rico is a Uruguayan ELT educator, author, and speaker with extensive experience in teacher training and curriculum development. He holds a degree in English Teaching from the Instituto de Profesores Artigas and a Master’s in Applied Linguistics. Nicolás has authored All Sorts, a primary ELT series published by McGraw Hill, and has presented at international conferences. Carmen Aguilar is a fully professional, qualified and experienced ESL/EFL/ESP/Business teacher, trainer and coordinator. She has taught at some prestigious universities such as Tecnológico de Monterrey, Central Missouri State University and The Mexican Air Force. Leonor has taught English across various age groups in top schools in Mexico City and Colombia and is currently working as a Learning Consultant at Pearson Mexico.

Alejandro Gil Cruz

Alejandro holds a Master's degree in Education with a specialization in Educational Leadership and has over 15 years of experience in education. He has worked as a teacher, a language academic coordinator, and a bilingual program coordinator at private universities in Mexico. He worked as Regional Academic Manager at ACT Education Solutions, training over 200 teachers in competencies. He was director of examinations at the British Council in Mexico, managing the exam distribution and placement strategy. Currently, Alejandro is Manager for Assessment and Certifications at Pearson, being responsible for the sales and positioning strategy of assessments and certifications in Mexico.

César Montealegre

César Montealegre es especialista en evaluación y movilidad estudiantil. Coordina a nivel nacional las certificaciones DELF-DALF en México, y es formador de docentes y examinadores. Posee una maestría en didáctica del francés lengua extranjera y colabora con redes e instituciones internacionales en proyectos de promoción del francés como lengua de estudios. Ha sido conferencista y traductor para diversos eventos académicos en América Latina y Europa. En enseignement supérieur, au collégial comme ailleurs, l’accès à l’education a accéléré le virage numérique, passant d’une offre limitée de cours sous un format en ligne, hybride ou comodal à une très grande majorité des cours maintenant offerte virtuellement. Alors que l’enseignement tend vers un retour partiel des étudiants sur les campus, les regards se tournent vers les formats de cours comodaux. Dans ceux-ci, des activités synchrones sont présentées simultanément en présence et en ligne, ce qui permet à des étudiants de se retrouver en classe physique pendant que d’autres suivent le même cours en classe virtuelle. De cette façon, les contraintes de distanciation sont plus facilement respectées tout en contrant l’isolement des étudiants en enseignement supérieur. Comment concevoir et planifier ces cours ? Quelles sont les conditions pédagogiques, technologiques et organisationnelles à prendre en compte ?

Edward Amador Pliego

Edward Amador Pliego a fait des études de Master 1 et 2 en didactique du français langue étrangère et seconde, ainsi que de cours et de diplômes dans diverses universités en faveur des langues étrangères telles que l'Universidade Federal de Pernambuco, Recife au Brésil, les Universités du Monde, Nice, l'Université de Nantes et l'Université Blaise Pascal en France. Il a enseigné le français dans divers établissements, tant publics que privés, et à différents niveaux d'enseignement. En tant que formateur d'enseignants, il a animé des ateliers, des cours et des conférences sur la didactique et la méthodologie du FLE, du français sur objectifs spécifiques (FOS), du français langue professionnelle (FLP) et du français sur objectifs universitaires (FOU) au niveau national et international. Il est responsable du DELF-DALF Centre Pachuca Université Autonome, à partir d'août 2020, il fait partie du Réseau mexicain d'apprentissage autonome des langues (RAAL). Au cours de sa carrière professionnelle, il a été responsable de la coordination du français, directeur adjoint et est actuellement directeur du Centre de langues de l'UAEH.

Im DaF-Unterrichtsalltag stehen wir häufig vor der Komplexität, Ausspracheübungen effektiv und für die Lernenden gehirngerecht in den Unterricht einzubauen. Ein durchgetakteter Semesterplan auf Grundlage eines vorgeschriebenen Lehrwerks lässt hierbei oftmals das Durchlaufen einer vollständigen Übungstypologie für sämtliche phonetischen Merkmale des Deutschen allein zeitlich nicht zu. Gleichzeitig genügt das einst praktizierte “Hör zu und sprich nach” dem heutigen wissenschaftlichen Kenntnisstand – insbesondere bei einem Blick auf das im Vergleich zum Spanischen größere Vokalinventar – nicht, um nachhaltig phonetische Fortschritte zu erzielen. Dabei ist erfahrungsgemäß der Wunsch der Lernenden nach einer Verbesserung der Aussprache groß, die didaktischen Phonetikkenntnisse der DaF-Lehrenden jedoch teilweise eingeschränkt. Der Workshop soll somit als Fundgrube für den Unterrichtsalltag dienen und verfolgt das Ziel, Angst vor dem Einbau phonetischer Übungen zu nehmen und eine Balance zwischen Lehrplan, Aussprachevermittlung und Nachfrage der Lernenden zu finden.

Malte Mordeja

Malte Mordeja ist DAAD-Lektor am geisteswissenschaftlichen Zentrum der Universidad de Guadalajara, Mexiko. Er ist Graduierter der binationalen Studiengänge „Deutsch-Spanische Studien“ (B.A.) und “Deutsch als Fremdsprache” (M.A.) und studierte an Universitäten in Madrid, Regensburg, Leipzig und Guadalajara. Seine Interessensschwerpunkte liegen im Bereich Didaktik/Methodik und Linguistik.

Speaking skills are an important part of any language learning program. However, assessing speaking is challenging because although we expect test scores to be accurate and objective, there are nevertheless many factors that influence an instructor’s impression of how well someone can speak a language. In order to mitigate some of these problems, it is important for teachers to create not only the tasks but also the instructions to be given to the examinees, the task materials such as pictures or role-play cards that will be needed, and the rubric to grade the students. In this session, I will guide teachers through a variety of assessment types and styles, highlighting the features and goals of each. Ranging from individual structured interviews to open-ended speaking and real-life target-focused tasks, I will detail how each assessment works and the types of interaction they are best suited for. By the end of the session, teachers will learn how to design their own speaking assessments to suit a variety of testing needs.

Michael Ledezma

Michael Ledezma is the head editor for ELT content development at NE Build & Grow. He writes weekly articles for the NE Times and NE Kids newspapers. Before joining NE Build & Grow, he spent over eight years developing and teaching specialized ESL courses for K–12 students at private ESL institutions in Korea and the United States. He is currently a PhD candidate in Political Science at the University of Illinois at Chicago, where his research focuses on political communication and linguistic analysis methodologies in political speech.

This session explores how using L1 in the EFL classroom can be a helpful temporary tool to support true beginners without creating long-term dependence. It highlights how conscious, responsible use of L1 can help clarify instructions, explain difficult concepts, and lower anxiety, making the learning process smoother. The session focuses on practical strategies to balance L1 use—giving students the support they need at the start while gradually encouraging them to communicate more in English as their confidence grows.

Mauricio Ortega

MAURICIO ORTEGA (BSc UNAM, Certified Teacher Trainer) has been an ELT teacher for over 37 years. He has been working as an ELT consultant and teacher trainer since 1994 and has been a speaker at TESOL and IATEFL conferences in Canada, Mexico, Bulgaria, Central and South America, Taiwan and China. A former professional actor and dancer, he is currently the Editorial and Academic Consultant for LiveABC in Latin America.

Viviana Castilla Pazos

Viviana Castilla es una apasionada de la educación y ha dedicado toda su carrera profesional a este ámbito. Ha sido profesora de inglés y asesora académica por más de 20 años. Cuenta con estudios en Pedagogía y ha realizado cursos de enseñanza de lenguas impartidos por la UNAM. Es autora de varios materiales para la enseñanza del inglés publicados por Pearson, como Read Right B. Actualmente trabaja como Consultora Pedagógica para Pearson, donde colabora estrechamente con docentes para desarrollar habilidades en el aprendizaje del inglés y de la vida que contribuyan al crecimiento académico y profesional de los estudiantes en todos los niveles.

Hervey Ruiz es un firme creyente de que todos los días se puede aprender algo nuevo. Estudió Comunicación pero ha desarrollado su carrera como consultor académico. Es Consultor en Imagen Pública y Maestro en Ingeniería en Imagen Pública del Colegio de Imagen Pública; tiene el ICELT de la Universidad de Cambridge así como el Certificate of Proficiency in English, también de Cambridge. Actualmente trabaja como consultor académico, examinador oral de la Universidad de Cambridge, editor de materiales digitales y dirige su propia firma de consultoría.

Frau Dr. Claudia Guadalupe García Llampallas promovierte in Linguistik, absolvierte den Master in Angewandter Sprachwissenschaft und studierte Germanistik an der Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM). Sie arbeitet seit 33 Jahren an der UNAM, wo sie wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin an der Nationalen Hochschule für Sprachen, Linguistik und Übersetzung (ENALLT) ist. Sie gehört zum Multiplikatorenprogramm der Bildungskooperation Deutsch (BKD) des Goethe-Instituts Mexiko und zum Netzwerk von Kultur und Sprache der OeAD. Über die Lehre hinaus geht sie Forschungsarbeiten und administrativen Tätigkeiten nach. Sie hielt zahlreiche Vorträge und publizierte wissenschaftliche Artikel in nationalen und internationalen Medien. Ihre Hauptarbeitsgebiete sind der Fremdsprachenerwerb, die Evaluation, die Lehrkräfteausbildung und das Lernen mit Unterstützung der digitalen Medien. In diesen Bereichen hat sie an verschiedenen Projekten teilgenommen. Darüber hinaus entwickelt sie Materialien und Kurse für virtuelle Plattformen. Seit April 2017 ist sie Honorar Mitglied des mexikanischen Deutschlehrerverbands.

Let’s untangle it a little bit… When we think about the most important elements in a lesson plan, we consider goals, activities, timing, seating arrangements, assessment, and homework. But how often do we consider motivation? How much do we prepare our lessons to be engaging, motivating and fun? Moreover, what is motivation? How does motivation work? How do I use it as an advantage and how do I identify when it is being a disadvantage? During this 50-minute workshop, we will be answering all of these, and many more questions related to students’ motivation when learning.

Licenciada en Ciencias de la Comunicación por la Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara con una beca de la UNAM. En 1994 terminó la Maestría en Ciencias Sociales con especialidad en Movimientos Sociales por la Universidad de Guadalajara y en el año 2004 terminó el Doctorado en Ciencias Sociales con especialidad en conocimiento y cultura por la Universidad de Guadalajara. En este año 2025, concluyó la Maestría en Cuidados con Perspectiva Latinoamericana por CLACSO-UTE. Forma parte de la Coalición Nacional por el Cuidado Digno y el Tiempo Propio de las Mujeres, así como de la Organización Artemisa que busca justicia para las viudas por inseguridad en Jalisco. Fue miembro fundador de la Fundación Marisa de Marisa Lazo, misma que se enfoca en acciones de empoderamiento para las mujeres en condición de vulnerabilidad.

La enseñanza del francés en México cuenta con una larga tradición y desde hace varios años ha habido un hueco en lo relativo a las redes de colaboración entre los diferentes actores del FLE. La AMDIF surge de la necesidad de crear comunidad entre el profesorado de francés como lengua extranjera con el fin de establecer lazos entre personas e instituciones en las que se enseña el francés o en francés en México. La AMDIF pretende organizar encuentros académicos y culturales en torno a la francofonía a lo largo y ancho del país a través de sus representantes estatales pero también a través de los miembros que deseen organizar eventos.

Grâce à sa collaboration avec des centres de langues en tant que coordinatrice, elle a acquis une expérience en matière de sélection de matériel et de stratégies pédagogiques.

Das interdisziplinäre Projekt „Grenzenlose Ausdrücke: Kunst im Geiste der ‚Entartung‘“ verbindet die Fachbereiche Deutsch und Kunst und beleuchtet das Thema der „Entarteten Kunst“ während des Nationalsozialismus. Entwickelt und durchgeführt wurde es von den Studierenden der Deutsch- und der Kunstklasse der Escuela Preparatoria N. 5 der Universität Guadalajara. In der ersten Phase des Projekts führten die Deutschstudierenden eine Recherche durch und entwickelten eine Präsentation, um den Kunststudierenden das Konzept der „Entarteten Kunst“ näherzubringen. Diese diente als Grundlage für die zweite Phase, in der die Kunststudierenden Werke erschufen, die von diesem Thema inspiriert waren. Die finalen Werke wurden in einer Ausstellung präsentiert, die sowohl die kreative Auseinandersetzung mit dem Thema als auch dessen historische Bedeutung widerspiegelte. Das Projekt förderte die Entwicklung von Fähigkeiten in den Bereichen Forschung, Präsentation und Kunstproduktion. Es wurde durch Fragebögen evaluiert und eine langfristige Erweiterung in Form einer öffentlichen Ausstellung an einem stark frequentierten Ort wird angestrebt.

Rosa Gabriela Argüello Vázquez

Rosa Gabriela Arguello Vázquez ist seit 2018 als DaF-Lehrerin an der Preparatoria Nr. 5 der Universidad de Guadalajara tätig. Die Schule kooperiert seit 2008 eng mit der PASCH-Initiative, wodurch die Schüler internationale Erfahrungen in Mexiko, den USA und Deutschland sammeln können. Seit 2023 arbeitet sie zudem beim Goethe-Zentrum Bezirk Guadalajara. Dort engagiert sie sich in der Durchführung von Sprachkursen und kulturellen Workshops, die die deutsch-mexikanischen Beziehungen fördern. Kyle Kastler is the Associate Director of Global Learning Abroad at the University of Maryland, College Park. In this role he directs the development and implementation of Maryland's Education Abroad programs by collaborating with academic colleges and departments to provide pathways towards opportunities for every Terp. Previously, Kyle contributed to the field of international exchange by working on in-person and virtual exchange programs funded by the U.S. Department of State. A lifelong language learner and teacher, Kyle has had the opportunity to teach in a variety of settings and in numerous global communities and has spent much of his career developing training and learning programs for professionals and young people on a variety of topics. Kyle holds a M.Ed. in Higher Education, Student Affairs, and International Education Policy from the University of Maryland, College Park. He obtained a certification in Diversity and Inclusion in International Education from Diversity Abroad in 2020 and is currently a board member for Teens of Color Abroad. Kyle, originally from Kansas, is a Returned Peace Corps Volunteer, a Critical Language Scholarship Recipient, and holds a B.A. in Spanish and Political Science from Missouri Southern State University.

A Certified Virtual Master Trainer with Pearson, with over 17 years of experience, she also holds an ICELT diploma and a Testing, Evaluation, and Assessment Diploma by the Norwich Institute for Language Education. Leonor has taught English across various age groups in top schools in Mexico City and Colombia and is currently working as a Learning Consultant at Pearson Mexico.

Ha sido profesor, coordinador de idiomas y programas biculturales en universidades privadas en México. Trabajó como Gerente Regional Académico en ACT Education Solutions, capacitando a más de 200 docentes en competencias. Fue director del área de exámenes en el Consejo Británico en México, gestionando la estrategia de distribución y colocación de exámenes. Actualmente, es Manager for Assessment and Certifications en Pearson, responsable de la estrategia de ventas y posicionamiento de evaluaciones y certificaciones en México.

Carmen Aguilar is a fully professional, qualified and experienced ESL/EFL/ESP/Business teacher, trainer and coordinator. She holds an M.A. in Teaching English as a Foreign Language by the University of Guadalajara. She is interested in the innovation, implementation and research of ICTs. She has taught at some prestigious universities such as Tecnológico de Monterrey, Central Missouri State University and The Mexican Air Force. Cette conférence explore la manière dont les outils numériques favorisent l’apprentissage autonome du français langue étrangère (FLE) chez les adolescents. Dans une approche sociodidactique, l’autonomie est envisagée non seulement comme une capacité individuelle, mais aussi comme un processus interactif influencé par l’environnement social et les outils technologiques. L’intervention mettra en lumière l’impact des plateformes numériques : applications éducatives, intelligence artificielle, réseaux sociaux et espaces collaboratifs, sur le développement des compétences linguistiques et métacognitives des apprenants. Ces outils permettent un apprentissage plus flexible, personnalisé et motivant, en encourageant la co-construction des savoirs et l’implication active des élèves. À travers des études de cas et des exemples concrets, nous analyserons les bénéfices et les défis liés à cette approche, notamment en termes d’accompagnement pédagogique et de formation des enseignants. Nous proposerons également des pistes didactiques pour optimiser l’usage du numérique et renforcer l’autonomie des adolescents en classe de FLE.

Miguel Rezzani

Miguel Rezzani ist DAAD-Regellektor am Instituto Politécnico Nacional in Mexiko-Stadt. Er hat einen Master in Fremdsprachenlinguistik der Universität Potsdam mit den Schwerpunkten Deutsch als Fremdsprache und Sprache in Erwerb und Kommunikation. Zuvor absolvierte er ein Lehramtsstudium Deutsch als Fremdsprache in Buenos Aires. Miguel Rezzani verfügt über umfassende Erfahrung in der Fremdsprachendidaktik, insbesondere in der Entwicklung und Durchführung von Fortbildungen für Lehrkräfte. Seine Schwerpunkte liegen auf kooperativem Lernen, lernendenaktivierenden Methoden und dem Einsatz digitaler Medien. Annelise Jouannin

Directrice de l’Alliance Française de Puebla, Annelise Jouannin travaille au sein du réseau des Alliances Françaises depuis plus de 10 ans, à travers ses expériences en Écosse (Glasgow) et au Mexique (Puebla). Dans le domaine pédagogique, elle a piloté le service d’ingénierie pédagogique du pôle expertise de l’Alliance Française de Puebla, et a également coordonné plusieurs événements de formation, au niveau national et international (Colloque des Alliances Françaises du Mexique 2017 et 2018, Matinées Pro 2021 Zone Amérique). Elle travaille aussi avec des délégués commerciaux du Consulat général du Canada à Monterrey pour le perfectionnement du français langue seconde.

Cette conférence explore des stratégies et des outils concrets pour dynamiser l’apprentissage du français en le liant à des contextes authentiques, à l’intérieur et à l’extérieur de la classe. Martha Olvido Ramírez Guzmán

Titulaire d'une Licence en didactique du FLE, elle a fait des études supérieures de master 1 et 2 en didactique du FLE et FLS, et un doctorat en éducation et innovation technologique. Martha Ramirez est enseignante dans la licence en enseignement de langues à l’Universidad Autónoma de Baja California. Depuis 2009, elle partage sa vision ludique et engagée dans l'enseignement du FLE en tant que formatrice de formateurs.

Cet atelier propose de découvrir d'une manière pratique où trouver et comment utiliser des jeux d'évasion en classe pour motiver les élèves et dynamiser les apprentissages. Les grandes étapes pour créer son propre escape game numérique ou présentiel y sont également présentées. Nous y abordons notamment la conception du scénario, la création des énigmes et leur organisation (agencement et préparation des énigmes). À la fin de l'atelier les participants seront en mesure de créer un mini escape game en FLE ou multidisciplinaire, adapté à différents âges et niveaux de langue.
