Irene Violante was born in Mexico City. Her passion for English started at a very young age as she loved to listen to pop and rock music in English. Irene holds a B.A in English teaching (UNAM), a diploma in Teaching for Higher Education (UNAM) and a Master’s degree in English Teaching. She has been in ELT since 1987 as a K1-12 and later as a university teacher, she has also been an English coordinator, high school principal, teacher trainer, methodology teacher and course writer. She has worked in the public and private sector as an English professional in Mexico. She is married and has two wonderful kids ages 30 and 17, and three cats. In her free time, Irene likes to cook, sing, travel, and go to rock concerts.
