5º Foro FIID

“Enseñanza de idiomas 4.0” es un concepto alineado al aprendizaje flexible, personalizado y digital dentro de entornos de aprendizaje presencial, virtual o mixto, que busca el desarrollo de las habilidades del siglo XXI. El foro FIID 2019 abordará de manera específica cómo las Tecnologías de la Información y la Comunicación (TIC) están modificando los patrones de acceso al conocimiento y, por ende, las opciones y enfoques didácticos en la enseñanza de idiomas. Se hablará no solo de los retos que enfrentan los nuevos aprendientes y actuales docentes de idioma, sino también los directivos o administradores de sistemas educativos de lenguas extranjeras, los asesores pedagógicos y los formadores docentes. Estos retos son en áreas como la tecnologización de las escuelas, el contenido de los programas de formación y capacitación docente y en la integración de recursos tecnológicos y digitales en el aula para el desarrollo de una base metodológica sólida y efectiva que redunde en la mejora del proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje de una segunda o tercera lengua.

Vinicius Nobre has already worked as a teacher, teacher educator, course designer, CELTA/ ICELT/ DELTA tutor and Director of Studies in some of the most reputable language centers in Brazil. Vinnie is also an author and has published course books with Pearson and two methodology books: Getting into Teacher Education: a Handbook (Cengage) and Teaching English Today: Contexts and Objectives (SBS/HUB Editorial). He is past president of BRAZ-TESOL and an experienced conference speaker.

Carol Numrich has been a member of the full-time faculty at the American Language Program, Columbia University since 1988. As Senior Lecturer at the ALP, over the years, she has led many teaching teams in the ALP’s Intensive Program, taught many part-time English courses at the university and traveled internationally to train and consult with language teachers.

Paul Seligson

Paul Seligson is a very experienced teacher training who has been in the language teaching field for nearly 40 years. His many ELT publications include English File (OUP) and for Richmond, Helping Students to Speak, Awesome, Kids’ Web, Essential English 1-5, English ID and Identities 1 and 2 (Starter to C1), the first 6-level course specifically written for Latino learners. His areas of ELT expertise include pragmatic teacher training/development, observation, autonomous learning, the four skills, pronunciation, error correction, pedagogical applications for new technologies & all aspects of classroom management.

Nicky Hocly

Nicky Hockly is the Director of Pedagogy of The Consultants-E (www.theconsultants-e.com). She is an international plenary speaker, and regularly trains teachers all over the world. Nicky has written several prize-winning methodology books about new technologies in language teaching. Her most recent books are Focus on Learning Technologies (2016) and ETPedia Technology (2017).
